The News and the Joy

For about two weeks, I was nauseated and weak mostly in the mornings. So Janine (the lady I was working for) asked if I could be pregnant. I took off of work and went straight to the store and bought three pregnancy tests. I did the first two, and it seemed like it took twenty-four hours and they faintly read positive. I sat in the bathroom for a long time, stunned, shocked, lost for words, and eyes full of tears. The next day I stayed at home in a daze. I pretty much stayed at home for the rest of the week sick as a dog. I kept having a dream that I was reading the tests wrong, so I went and bought the ones that read out- Pregnant/Not Pregnant. After a week of getting my head and thoughts together, I decided it was time to break the news to your daddy.
1 of the 6th

I called your dad and told him after he got off of work he needed to come home so we could talk. When he got home I was lying in the bed, and he asked what was going on, I replied with there's something in the bathroom, go look by the toilet. He walked in and was in there for about five to ten minutes. When he walked out he had the biggest smile I have ever seen in my life. He came and sat down on the bed by me and gave me a big hug and just held me close. It felt so good to let him know and to see how excited he was over you!!!!

About three weeks later I had a doctor's appointment, and we found out I was two months and three days pregnant. Your Daddy was absolutely amazed to hear your heartbeat (163 bpm). I couldn't stop smiling!!!
You got your nickname before you even got your name. When you got your first picture made (ultrasound), you looked like a peanut. So Daddy and I called you Peanut for the longest because we didn't like referring to you as it (because we didn't know if you was a boy or girl.) Not long after that everyone was calling you Peanut.
